This fully automatic rewinding line has been designed by Gimax to offer maximum reduction in the rewinding costs of different types of wire onto
wire baskets.
The line does not require the presence of an operator since all the functions of the line are entirely automated, from the transfer of the wire onto basket to the winding station, to the hooking of the wire onto the basket and to the final cutting and rehooking after the winding process has been completed. The line is also equipped with a PLC to control all the functions and to signal the status of the line or any alarm conditions.
The machine can also be fitted with a modem allowing Gimax to interface directly from the factory should there be a necessity to intervene in the programme of the system.
One main function is the capability of automatically detecting any error in the precision winding and to return to a point prior to the error and attempt to correct it.
The machine also comprises a unique system to determine the diameter of the wire and can therfore adapt automatically to different tolerances in the wire diameter, ensuring optimum precision winding even in more difficult cases.
