ABOUT US
The Company
Founded in 1978 by Gianluigi Marangoni, Gimax has always played a leading role in the development of innovative machinery to handle ferrous and non-ferrous wire.

The 1980s saw the first range of semi-automatic respoolers, the “POLI” series which are still being used today.

The 1990s saw Gimax successfully introduce the first ever fully automatic respooler, the “ROBO” series that still remains the most reliable, efficient and the most cost-effective respooler that the market can offer today.

The 2000s saw Gimax revolutionise the “INF” series of drum packers, making them the most compact, the most efficient and the fastest available on the market. In same decade Gimax has intoduced a totally new concept in fully automatic respooling, the "REV" series.

The 2010s , saw Gimax complete its product portfolio with a full range of drawing equipment -dry and wet drawing and ancillary equipment, as well as an updated shaving process for aluminium wire ("SBA" series).

The 2020s if the corporate spirit that aims to propose solutions always one step ahead in innovation is innate, with the support of the new governance, Gimax has accelerated its reorganization aimed at internalizing and implementing skills and phases, as well as making processes more efficient and digitized, controlling the entire process from conception, design, development, production and testing..

Today, after 46 years of activity in the wire industry, Gimax has firmly established itself as the world leader when it comes to respooling and handling wire, with more than 3200 machines sold worldwide.
The Group
Manufacturing Philosophy
"Manufacturing machinery means that Gimax is continuing in its tradition of innovation and quality in harmony with its production ideals, moving towards standardization and greater diverification with the hihest competence and professionalism of the market offering."

Top performance
thanks to the right max of clever solutions, fine mechanics & primium automation.

Continuity in productivity over the years.

Constant assistance during the entire life of the machinery.

Envoiromental responsability for years Gimax has been pursuing policies aimed at improving eco-sustainability lowering environmental impact.
All Gimax machinery is manufactured to meet “European Directives” (CE).

Dynamic & Energetic Efficiency
Gimax makes use of high efficiency motors, generally in a class of efficiency equivalent to IE3.
Moreover, most of Gimax machines have another distinctive feature since before the turn of the century, most of its products have been equipped with systems to recover energy.
In fact, the respooling, drum packing and drawing machine process has moments of acceleration and deceleration. Thanks to the innovative concepts utilized electronically, it is possible to recover kinetic energy during the moment of deceleration.
The capability to recover and return energy to the network can potentially allow considerable savings in terms of energy since the energy supply is not dissipated in the form of heat when the brake is applied to slow down the machine.
The combination of all these aspects means that Gimax Machinery are Dynamically and Energetically Efficient.
